WEEK 4


In this week I learned how use a new web site called diiigo. Diigo is a social market that keeps and classifies important web sites, images etc, also I did some activities with this web site.  First, I registered in diigo and immediately I began use diigo and created six list about English language skills as listening, speaking, writing, reading, EFL methodology and vocabulary or grammar. Besides I can apply diigo to describe a web site. Then I read a web site that has    important information about ICT and UNESCO. ICT (Information and Communication Tecnology) is new resource that aids the teachers to use the technology to get an education the quality. Also UNESCO wants to can ICT in all school and that learners have access the technology and UNESCO, ICT and teachers want to develop new system in the education to ensure competent people.  In conclusion, I think that diigo is a web site very useful for students and teachers   and ICT permit us to have a better education trough   the technology.

WEEK 3


    In this week I gave a quiz about how evaluating web site. This quiz helped me to know if I understood all information about how evaluating web site, also I developed other activities. First, I read two web page     http://www.pvc.maricopa.edu/researchhelp/plagiarism.html, http://www.plagiarism.org/  about plagiarism. These web pages permitted me to know what plagiarism is. Plagiarism is a form to get information, but copying exactly the author’s ideas, also I learned how avoids plagiarism.  I can use citing it lets me know the original author and their sources and materials. Besides if I want to use some ideas or sources I should apply two important clues as quotes and paraphrases. I use quotes when copying  some information exactly, for example, Joe believes that "life is slow and soft" in the country (Living Easy 288) and I use paraphrase when I borrow a idea, but in my own ideas, for example In the current paper we will be examining responses to a particular type of imposter; the vegetarian who eats meat. We chose this example because the core norm of the vegetarian is very clear (to not eat meat), and violation of the norm is easily recognized.(original)  Hornsey and Jetten (2003) investigated group responses to impostors. For the purposes of their study, the impostors were defined as vegetarians who go against the norm by eating meat. In the other hand I research extra information more about plagiarism. Then I research information about APA style.  APA style (American Psychological Association) is citations, rules and conventions when I use information some author, article, organization etc to avoid plagiarism. APA has the following elements: order, author(s), titles, pagination, indentation, underlining vs. Italics, Internet address.




As conclusion, it aids me to know the correct use the author’s ideas, also it    is very useful and helpful to avoid do plagiarism and  I can use in my life as student and my future life as teacher

WEEk 2


    In this week I knew some guideline about how I work in the virtual class . First, I registered in the virtual class, also I download my profile it helped my teacher and classmate about my expectations in Internet and Multimedia class .Then I entered for the virtual class, immediately I began to use it. In addition I read an important evaluating web site http://liblearn.osu.edu/tutor/les1/pg2.html this web site let me to know and recognize if a web site has reliable information, also it permitted me to know some important clues. For example I can use Google to see the URL the different blogs, web sites, articles, journals, etc. Also, I can establish what is the mission or purpose of a web site to see some keys such as: about this page site, index site, map site. It could be advocacy, commercial site or reference site, also I can investigate personal information about an author and publisher such as: bibliography, background, degrees or organization, university that belongs and when the information was written or if the information is updated. Besides I research extra information to know more about how evaluating a web site. I found a lot of web pages and videos, but the most important information is http://www.lesley.edu/library/guides/research/evaluating_web.html this page has similar information that http://liblearn.osu.edu/tutor/les1/pg1.html. Finally I did a practical test. This test showed me if I understood the two reading about evaluating web site. In conclusion the http://liblearn.osu.edu/tutor/les1/pg1.html is very useful and helpful to discern among different pages, also I can use in my life as student and my future life as teacher.

Week 1



In this week I knew how I going to work in Internet and Multimedia  class during this semester . Firts, I sent my personal information to web site http://goo.gl/odgKo this website helps me to enter a virtual class, also I created my blogger where I going to put my learning logs, extra information and  commentaries about it class. Second, I read a website about how know if the information from a website is safe and truth . In this website  I learned some important step to recognize a good website, for example If I want to know more information about it. I can see URL and I  learned the meaning of edu, gov mil, etc.Therefore it aids me to apply in my student´s life and my future  teacher´s life. In conclusion Internet and Multimedia is very useful in the learning and teaching process
